a) Educational Status: The student should be currently enrolled in an AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association)-accredited veterinary school, or one listed in the AVMA’s list of approved veterinary colleges if it’s an international institution. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University is recognized by the AVMA, in the U.S.
b) Visa Requirements: International students typically require a J-1 visa for educational exchange programs, including externships. The visa process involves proving enrollment in a relevant educational program and the intention to return to the home country upon completion.
